The first lessons are underway, and not every student learns the same way. As the newly arrived humans begin adapting to life on Anturia, Kylah is given a job she’d rather survive than enjoy: teaching a group of bewildered newcomers how to use technology that feels impossible to them. Between chaotic training sessions, unexpected personalities, and more than a few moments of frustration, one thing becomes increasingly clear. Some differences run deeper than appearances.
As Kylah observes the twins more closely, she begins to recognize subtle contrasts that could matter far more than anyone realizes. First impressions are easy. Understanding who someone truly is takes much longer.
