The Porta Segreta was supposed to be under control. All the reports said the humans were calm, even grateful. But they were very wrong. When violence erupts inside an Anturian observation facility, Bryn Tal is pulled back into the heart of governance and into the first undeniable proof that the door between worlds has already begun to push back.
Humans are dead, and guards are slain. Three humans have vanished into the streets of Teithia, armed with knowledge no one believed they could wield. As the council scrambles to contain the damage, the lines harden. They bury fear beneath procedure and softening words.
