Victory demands payment. As the battle for Teithia finally begins to turn, Bryn leaves the safety of the command post to search for the one person she cannot afford to lose, Dahlfia. But the city she enters is no longer a battlefield; it is a graveyard.
As enemy forces strike from the shadows and familiar streets become killing grounds, an unexpected form of salvation arrives. Old allies face final reckonings, and long-buried truths surface. Questions surrounding the war grow larger instead of smaller. And as the dust settles over Teithia, a new figure steps forward to make demands no one is prepared to hear. Because some victories do not end a war. They only reveal the next one.
