Not all who wander the desert are meant to survive it while others are meant to be changed by it. As Kylah’s journey through the Plains of Du’Roi pushes her beyond the limits of endurance, she finds herself on the edge of something she cannot explain, caught between pain and peace, reality and something far less certain.
Drawn toward water where none should exist, she encounters a presence unlike anything she has known. The presence is ancient and waiting for her. This place is not a simple refuge, and the being that resides there is no ordinary being. As questions surface and answers remain just out of reach, Kylah must accept that not everything in this world can be understood. And not everything is meant to be.
